Alright, to start, the events that have been described herein took place at an earlier date -- Sunday, September 14th.
The flight: All began reasonably well - except it is never a good thing when the flight crew states "I've never seen this many toddlers on a flight before!" Definitely not a good thing. . . I could've taken the toddlers crying and whining - that's why we have such wonderful things as earplugs and headphones attached to iPods. What really gets me is the turbulence. Note to airline pilots: planes aren't supposed to just drop in the air, losing a good amount of altitude seconds. At least airlines aren't serving meals in-flight anymore, that could've been a very messy situation.
The pickup: I really can't complain about the ride from the gate to the main terminal in Orlando, nor the baggage claim. Both of my checked luggage pieces came out together and wihtout incident. But it would be nice if people picking up passengers would actually try to pull up to the curb nearby and not force the passenger carrying two carry-on bags and two large pieces of luggage to walk to vehicle when there was plenty of room at the curb nearby.
Third, if I am not on the way to a meeting, or on the way to work, I DON"T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT! Its great that my coworker wants to keep me informed and give me a heads-up on the students so I'm not struggling to get their names down. I just want to get to the hotel and take a hot shower before finding something quick and cheap for dinner before an early bed. So just drive the car and let me try to unwind.
On the upside, the hotel room is pretty nice, and I'm on the first floor near the lobby, and they have a pretty decent breakfast, with some hot items too.
